Black Panther is visually stunning, but it’s more than just another 3D movie. As many critics have noted, it’s not typical of the latest Marvel movies, which are basically comedies. It’s a story of life involving duality that haunts the Black Panther lineage. It more than touches on those born fortunate versus those born in Hell. Although it does attempt to build a bridge between the haves and have nots, I don’t think it can give a definitive resolution on a topic with such depth, but it is important to be expressed. If you haven’t watched it yet, it should be on the top of your list, and if you’ve already watched it, then you probably want to watch it again.

![]() Reasons Print Comic Books Won't Die With misinformation out there and people who fear the digital world, I want to clear up why print comic books will never die. There is some overlapping in what I have listed below, but no worries, there are plenty of reasons that comic culture will always be in print.
Just another note that relates more to comics in general rather than just print - superhero movies will never crowd out comics because the books contain perfect storyboards for movies. People always note the creativity and art of comic books, which are great, but the writing and storyboarding are phenomenal.
“Baby Badass didn’t ask to be born.”
Baby Badass is a recent recommendation from Justin’s Comics and we have a few issues left in store. It is graphically gory with brutal action that draws you in. The intense absurdity will either make you chuckle or stop reading the comic by reason of nonsensicalness, but I believe that is the intention. If you want to read about a baby set in a futuristic world who mutilates others while be carried around by a provocative waitress with her own enemies to deal with, then this is may be for you. It’s even crazier than it sounds.
The Sandman Overture is a creative and poetic conceptualization of another dimension, and as extreme as it sounds the reader can relate. The trippy elements of a dreamlike state are expressed through art and literature. I picked up a single issue of The Sandman Overture 6, the Hero Initiative edition. The accolades and fan talk of Sandman attracted me to this comic, but the work itself has drawn me to further reading and investigation. It stimulates the mind.
