It’s sick. It’s disturbing. It’s a really twisted message about the creation of a psychotic messiah. And it should definitely win an Oscar for Best Actor and Best Movie.

The controversy surrounding the movie would be the only thing that would hold it back. I scanned some negative critic reviews who claim that the movie is about nothing, but that is far from true and it shows either that they’re incapable of understanding the story or that they want to shun it due to it’s graphic nature. It’s almost like the critics that are putting it down are doing so out of fear.

I also scanned what fans are saying on Twitter and it’s almost unanimously Oscar worthy. Don’t worry about being disappointed from it being overhyped. And for the DC Comics fans who like it dark, you may want to bring a flashlight. It’s a character study of Joker engulfed in realism. The last 30 minutes of the movie gave me chills.
If you haven’t watched it, then go the very next minute that you have available. It will leave you thinking and feeling like never before.
