Inside Store Closed January 1st, Reopening March 2021
Due to upcoming business renovations and the continuing rise of COVID-19, November 25, 2020 will be the last release date we offer preorders until March or April 2021. Inside of the Justin’s Comics store will be temporarily closed January 1, 2021 until March/April 2021 for renovations and we have a Grand Reopening Sale Event tentatively scheduled for May 1st. The Justin’s Comics website and app may be down for short periods for maintenance during January 2021 and February 2021. We can do in-store reserves for release dates from December 1st through December 9th, as well as some independent titles not listed on preorder.
We will have online sales for shipping and curbside store pickup, but unfortunately we will not be able to do preorders or holds during the period of time that the inside is closed. Inside of the store will be open through December 31, 2020 for customers to pick up preorders for release dates November 25, 2020 or earlier, and if a customer is not able to pick up their preorder in December, then we can make arrangements for store pickup or shipping in January. We will also have new titles on the racks during the month of December (not available for preorder) and a Christmas Sale through the month of December.
As COVID-19 continues into the winter, I feel this is the best option for us to start 2021. From June through October 2020, we had our top five month span of sales since our three years in business, just after having our worst ever month of sales in April. This progress will allow us to get much needed work done in the store as well as revamp other areas of the business during the first quarter of 2021.
I understand you may get comics from other stores due to the gap. However, we plan to have the inside back open in March/April and for Free Comic Book Day May 2021, as well as curbside store pickup and shipping available during January, February, and March. We sincerely thank comic fans for our success the last three years and we have great stuff planned for 2021.
