Marvel Movie Reviews: Avengers Infinity War & Deadpool 2

If you still haven’t watched the following movies, there are minor spoilers ahead.

Avengers Infinity War

Infinity War is an action filled CGI extravaganza as well as a heartfelt drama approached in a different way. It is a Thanos based story that shows deep emotionality and purpose of a tyrant, maybe like never before in a superhero movie; even though the Black Panther movie has an emotional villain, Thanos is on another level. Infinity War breaks the recent superhero trend of the good guy always wins. The heel has to win sometimes to give definition to good. The Marvel Universe did a stellar job of building character depth so that everyone fits in nicely without feeling forced.

Deadpool 2

Deadpool is an absurd comedy and I love absurdity. It is better than the first movie with more characters to feed off and more over the top laughs. While Cable was the big hype leading up and his character does play out well in the movie, Domino’s characterization and abilities are awesome to see cinematically (yes it is very cinematic). And bluntly speaking, Domino is hot. Zazie, if you’re reading this, I own a little store in St. Charles, MO and I’m available anytime.

In short, watch Infinity War for a dramatic thought provoking night out and go see Deadpool 2 if you want to have an uplifting fun time.

I have yet to watch all these movies but I think I really need to watch everything before the comic books I ordered will be delivered in my place. I will always want to watch film adaptations first before anything else. I heard that if you watch a film about your favorite book or comics, you will only end up disappointed because most of the scenes you love from the book will be skipped in the movies. I am not sure why they are doing that or are they doing this intentionally but I think it's a terrible idea.
