Unfortunately, all preorders currently not filled for Source Point Press items will be cancelled and refunded today. Due to instability of their distribution routes, we will no longer support or carry Source Point Press comics. We may evaluate this again at a later time, but it is under our best interest and the interest of our customers to not offer their products until we feel that they can successfully deliver them to us. Don't call it a comeback. I’ve been here for years. I’m rocking my peers. Puttin' suckers in fear. We just had a record setting month! October 2019 was previously our best month of sales, but we already topped that after this past weekend and will end up beating it by 20% or more once the month is over. Driven by innovating online sales combined with strong in-store sales led us back on track better than ever. Restructuring is a proven success.

With all of the things going on in the world, I was tentative on announcing our resurgence. The world we live in is facing everything from a threatening virus to ongoing discrimination. I’m not here to give you guidelines on those things. All I can do is live through actions by enacting policies in the store to keep us safe; and anyone who discriminates against someone due to race, sexuality, mental health, religion, as well as other prejudices, might as well as keep their money because I don’t need it. I will not grandstand with how to wash your hands or political slogans. We are not here for that. We are here for escapism.

Shout out to Brody for being with Justin’s Comics for over a year! She is the first employee with perfect attendance for more than a year and she does a great job at running the store when I’m gone.

Face masks are now required to shop in store and social distancing is still in effect.

Review Scout Comics No. 1's

Murder Hobo takes it’s mature rating to the extreme. It’s funny with cartoonish obscene art and profane writing that will make you laugh…if that’s your thing. To put it simple - comedic, gory, sexual, with RPG/Fantasy related slang. Very enjoyable read if you can handle its extreme nature.

It Eats What Feeds It is a first issue provocative tease and thriller suspense tease. It’s a fast read and has a set up that may make issue two worth reading.

All In-Store Preorders for July 7th and July 8th delayed to Friday 12pm July 10th due to delayed shipments, and preorders to be shipped will be completed Thursday July 9th. Shipments from distributors will not be arriving to the store until late Tuesday or Wednesday, so we will be completing orders by Friday in order to process the shipments correctly. Please do not call the store to ask if your order is ready as we plan to have them ready at the allotted time and will notify you of any further delay. Comics for the July 7th/8th dates are still available for preorder and some new releases this week may be on the racks for Wednesday, but some releases will be held back to make sure preorder pulls are completed. We apologize for any inconvenience and will have this caught up as soon as possible.

I haven’t read much of the current Batman continuity, but I have checked out some of the cameo panels of Punchline, so I figured I’d flip through this issue to see how her characterization is coming along. She’s one crazy $&@*! and in comparison makes Harley Quinn look like a Sunday school teacher. Batman feels new again and for a former Golden Age comic that's an achievement. This is a Justin's Comics Must Read Recommendation.

Soon, we will be offering more preorder options for specific titles for an ongoing basis, but release dates are changing too often to implement that at the moment. Business is going great and we thank our loyal customers. During these trying times, we have and will continue to develop solutions that help all of us short term and for the long run. We had new comics available as soon as they came back as well as increased our inventory and shopping options.

We have very reasonable preorder payment prices. We will no longer pull and hold comics without payment (except same day approved holds, requested and picked up the same day). The practice of holding items without payment is unheard of in most other retail and even if you don’t pull comics from us, then you should offer to pay up front at wherever you pull from. If you do not have the funds at the time, then don’t pull them. This is a devastating practice to local comic shops specifically (which are mostly owned by individuals) and this is something that the industry needs to move away from as a whole.

However, what everyone else does is irrelevant. As the old saying goes, if all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you too? Well, we aren’t jumping off the bridge. We are leading with this decision in order to continue great service with great prices and variety. I think rational minds would agree that you enjoy our service, prices, and variety…and would like for us to continue to offer all of those.

Don’t be mistaken - we are still a local comic shop, but we’re a local comic shop doing big things.
