Transgenesis 1 is full of vibrant colors that entertain the reader’s eyes. The story from page one throws you right into the action of a sci-fi adventure engaging in an end world cataclysm. The noticeably sci-fi appeal is mixed with a medieval flavor with characters like Claymore. The Apogee team does a nice job of teasing the reader for a much larger story arch with the beginning of character development that could lead to depth, rather than a rushed feeling of an origin story crammed in a few pages.
